<P><FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Arial">The Kaiser Permanente Center for Health Research has an opening for a half-time Library Technical Specialist. </FONT>
</P>
<P><FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Arial">JOB PURPOSE: </FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Arial">The purpose of this position is to assist the librarian in providing library information services using a variety of resources, including, but not limited to, the CHR Library collection, online information tools, and materials obtained from other libraries. Assists in the maintenance of the CHR Library collection of print and online resources. </FONT></P>
<P><FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Arial">EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: </FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Arial">Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of knowledge and experience. </FONT>
</P>
<P><FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Arial">REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: </FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Arial">One year of experience in a library or similar research setting. Expertise in the use of personal computers in a standard office setting. Ability to locate information on the Internet and work with minimal supervision. Strong oral and written communication skills. </FONT></P>
<P><FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Arial">PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: </FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Arial">Familiarity with medical terminology, international cataloging standards, interlibrary loan protocols, and copyright law. Two years of experience in a health or research library. Experience with DOCLINE and OCLC.</FONT></P>
<P><FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Arial">HOURS/SHIFT: 20 hours per week. </FONT>
