<div>Purchase on demand offers one way to increase the immediate, and potentially long-term, value of library collection purchases. OSU Libraries took advantage of ILL requesting to identify materials for purchase on demand (just in time purchases). Goals
of the “Buy Request” pilot project included 1) meeting researchers’ point-of-need material requests while 2) enhancing the current and future value of the collection. Kerri Goergen-Doll, ILL Supervisor, and Uta Hussong-Christian, Science Librarian, will present
a brief overview of the project along with a more detailed discussion of patron feedback which provides context for the wide success of purchase on demand programs in general and provides direction for enhancing OSU Libraries’ now-permanent service.</div>

<div>The presentation will take place on Friday, April 22 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:30 p. m., in the Willamette Industries Seminar Rooms on the third floor of the Valley Library (VL 3622). The OSU Libraries Faculty Seminar Series is free and open to all. Refreshments
