<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;line-height:115%;color:#1F497D">Hi! I just found out the abridged Dewey Decimal Classification book was just updated and is now available for purchase from OCLC. The last time it was updated was in 2004. I
thought small libraries would want to know.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left:.5in"><span lang="EN-GB" style="font-size:12.0pt;line-height:115%">A new abridged version of the Dewey Decimal Classification is now available to purchase. Abridged Edition 15 presents a logical abridgement of the recently
released DDC 23 and includes many parallel updates to content and structure. These changes reflect the many changes to the body of human knowledge that have occurred since Abridged Edition 14 was published back in 2004.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left:.5in"><span lang="EN-GB" style="font-size:12.0pt;line-height:115%">The abridged edition of the Dewey Decimal Classification is ideal for libraries with collections of 20,000 titles or fewer. The system provides the right
level of detail needed to classify the materials in those collections, and is compatible with the unabridged edition should your collection expand and require deeper classification detail.
