Act Advisory Council. Terms are for three years; they begin on January 1, 2014 and end on December 31, 2016.

<b>About the Council:</b><br>

<a href="http://www.oregon.gov/osl/LD/Pages/lstacouncil.aspx">LSTA Advisory Council</a> assists the State Library Board of Trustees in carrying out the Oregon Library Services and Technology Act Five-Year State Plan by reviewing grant proposals, making recommendations
to the Board, evaluating progress in accomplishing the goals of the State Plan, and advising the Board about other issues concerning the
<a href="http://www.oregon.gov/osl/LD/Pages/grantmainalt.aspx">LSTA federal library grant program</a>.<br>
<br>
The LSTA Advisory Council consists of thirteen members and is broadly representative of library entities in Oregon, including public, school, academic, and special libraries. Members are elected by the Oregon State Library Board of Trustees. Special consideration
is given to ensure that geographic areas of the state are represented, as are library users, and representatives of underserved persons.<br>

</span><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Book Antiqua","serif";color:black">Suggestions will be reviewed and nominees will then be selected. Those selected to be nominees will be contacted for a short paragraph to go on the ballot. LSTA Council members
are elected by the Oregon State Library Board of Trustees at their December meeting. Appointees will be notified by the State Library as soon as possible after the Board meeting.</span><span style="font-size:13.5pt;font-family:"Book Antiqua","serif";color:black"><o:p></o:p></span></p>
