that person (or organization) for the ALA's Intellectual Freedom Round Table's <i>John Phillip Immroth Memorial Award</i>. Past recipients range from Amnesty International (for their approach to Banned Books Week), public librarians who organized book clubs
for students to read books with "more mature themes" than they were allowed to read in school, individuals who returned censored art work to galleries from which they had been removed, to a bookstore refusing to breach the privacy of their patrons. For details
