Dear Colleagues,

Since 1999 the Johannah Sherrer Memorial Lecture in Library Service has been an opportunity for academic, public, school, and special librarians to gather at Lewis & Clark College for an afternoon of learning, inspiration, and conversation surrounding a library service-related topic presented by a leader in her or his field. Established by former Watzek Library Director James J. Kopp to
commemorate the contributions and legacies of a respected friend,
colleague and champion of service, we hope 2014 will be a particularly special event as it is the 15th Anniversary of the Lecture.

Please take a moment to review the past presenters on the Sherrer Lecture site, and consider possible speakers for the Fall 2014 event. Nominations or service-related themes to be sent to elaineghirsch@lclark.edu and are appreciated. We hope that the Sherrer Memorial Lecture continues to be an important professional development event for all who attend, and that we will see you at Lewis & Clark this Fall.
