<p class="MsoNormal">A group of parents and community members will be meeting at <b>
7:30 PM on Monday, May 12 at the Beaverton City Library, Meeting Room B</b> to begin a positive and hopeful conversation about the value of school libraries/librarians and to discuss ways to advocate for positive change (in the form of returning librarians
to schools).</p>
<p class="MsoNormal"> </p>
<p class="MsoNormal">The idea behind the meeting is to support parent advocates by helping them locate factual information that supports the goal of adequate school library staffing, including certified teacher librarians. Judging by several success stories
in bringing back school librarians to school districts, this element – that of parental involvement – is key to this success.</p>
