<p class="MsoNormal">Answerland is Oregon's statewide reference service, allowing
everyone who lives, works and goes to school in Oregon the chance to connect
with a librarian by live chat, email or text messaging. Answerland also
encourages every library to provide virtual reference services to their
community.</p>

<p class="MsoNormal"> </p>

<p class="MsoNormal">The Answerland Advisory Board is seeking new members for a 2
year term, starting in <b>Fall 2014</b>.</p>

<p class="MsoNormal"> </p>

<p class="MsoNormal">The role of the Answerland Advisory Board is to set the
mission, goals, and direction of Answerland, our statewide digital reference
service. The board strives for broad representation geographically and by type
and size of library. Advisors can come from any Oregon library or related
organization and have included library directors, volunteers and every role in
a library in between.</p>

<p class="MsoNormal"> </p>

<p class="MsoNormal">As you may know, Answerland is in a time of major
transition, and now, more than ever, needs enthusiastic and committed leaders
to guide the service into the future. Important work will need to be done over
the coming year, and beyond, as we seek to transition the service to a
sustainable funding model and a new fiscal agent. Now is the time to get
involved and help re-shape Answerland and ensure the future of Oregon’s
statewide virtual reference service!  </p>

travel costs can often be reimbursed.</p>
