<div class="moz-cite-prefix"><font face="Verdana">We have the dubious
honor of managing a half-acre public park outside the Hood River
Library</font> (item #1273 of things they don't teach you in
library school), so this issue has come up for us, too. Like Cindy
at MCL, our Code of Conduct refers to "library properties", so it
applies to all of our branches and the park. We have had to
enforce various parts of the Code of Conduct in the park,
including provisions for no tobacco products (our most common park
enforcement), unattended children, and unattended animals.<br>
<br>
Public sidewalks are indeed a strange grey area. Technically the
City owns them, but we're responsible for paying to maintain and
replace them. Go figure.<br>
<br>
Here are links to our Code of Conduct and our Library Use
Restrictions Policy, which governs how we restrict patrons from
library properties and services.<br>

Hopefully those help!<br>

Cheers!<br>
