<p>A limited number of <strong>graduate assistantships</strong> are available for students in the MLIS program for fall 2015 - spring 2016. A graduate assistantship covers tuition (and part of GAs medical insurance) and includes a stipend of $7200 for 9 months.
It does not cover textbooks. </p>
<p> </p>
<p>A SLIS graduate assistantship requires that students:</p>
<ul style="list-style-type: disc;">
<li>work 20 hours per week at SLIS office, scheduled during Monday - Friday from 8am - 5pm </li><li>live in (or move to) the Hattiesburg area and be enrolled in 9 credit hours per semester.</li></ul>
