<div dir="ltr">Oregon Humanities is seeking Oregon public library partners for a new statewide series of facilitated public conversations about end of life decision-making called <i>Talking about Dying</i>. <div><br></div><div>These one-time, ninety-minute conversations will provide participants the opportunity to reflect on what stories and cultural, spiritual, and emotional influences shape their thinking about death and dying, and to hear different perspectives and ideas from fellow community members. They will also serve to build awareness of the importance of making decisions about the end of life in an informed and proactive manner, and will strengthen participants’ sense of community support and collective engagement on these issues.<div><br>Oregon Humanities anticipates scheduling thirty conversations across the state, between July 1, 2015 and January 31, 2016. We plan to sponsor five programs in each of the following six regions of the state: Northern Coast, Willamette Valley, Gorge/Central, Eastern, Southern, and Southern Coast.
