This fall, "PubMed for Trainers" will be offered in three online sessions and one in-person session in Seattle at the University of Washington Health Sciences Library.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-family:"Century Gothic",sans-serif'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-family:"Century Gothic",sans-serif'>If you are not a health sciences librarian you may wonder what is PubMed and why would non-health sciences librarians be interested in training? <a href="http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/">PubMed</a> is produced by the National Library of Medicine and is primarily known for its free Medline database of indexed citations to medical and science journal articles. According to a <a href="http://www.pewinternet.org/2013/01/15/health-online-2013/">2013 Pew Internet report</a> 59% of U.S. adults have looked online for health information in the past year. Many who have chronic conditions are often are looking beyond consumer health websites.
