<p class="style10"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">The Oregon State Library Board will meet on Friday, October 28, 2016 at the Independence Public Library in Independence. The board’s new business includes acting on recommendations from the Library
Services and Technology Act Advisory Council and Talking Book and Braille Library Advisory Council. They will also hear a report on the 2016-2017 Ready to Read grants and hear from Janet Webster of the Oregon Library Association Legislative Committee. Continuing
business includes discussions about the State Librarian evaluation process and the board's roles and responsibilities. The open forum is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Anyone may address the board on any topic at the open forum.

in the Horner Library Staff Exchange. Dahlgreen will be visiting several libraries and will be presenting at the annual conference of Fujian librarians. Dahlgreen, Wang, and Lee will stay for one week while Richard Sapon-White (OSU Libraries), Veronica Vichit-Vadakan
(Oregon College of Oriental Medicine Library), and Jian Wang (PSU Library), the official Horner Exchange delegates, will be visiting libraries in Fujian for three weeks. The Horner Exchange is a project of the State Library and the Oregon Library Association

<p><span class="style101"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">On September 14, 2016, staff from the State Library, state agencies, Oregon Documents Depository libraries, and other libraries met at the State Library to discuss the status and future
of the <a href="http://www.oregon.gov/osl/GRES/Pages/OrDocs.aspx">Oregon Documents Depository Program</a>. The 24 participants analyzed strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats, brainstormed ideas, and agreed on action items. The summit was ably facilitated
by Katie Anderson.</span></span><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif"><br>
