<p class="MsoNormal">Since July, the Oregon State Library has been offering <b>access to select content and courses from Skillsoft for ALL Oregon staff from academic, public, school, and tribal libraries</b>. We are able to do this by participating in a group
contract managed by WebJunction, who oversees the content selection and administration tasks.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">As part of the process of keeping the Skillsoft catalog up to date in both content and technology, WebJunction has retired 13 courses that were out of date and no longer supported by Skillsoft. (These were also the last courses that required
the user to have Java installed, which is a technology that all the major browsers are moving away from.)<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">11 of the 13 courses have direct replacements. Two of the technical skills courses, which have had no registrations, have been removed to make room for three new courses on topics more likely to be of interest to library staff. For complete
