Due February 1, 2017

Introduction

The PLD board of directors is seeking three dynamic 15–20 minute long
presentations for the OLA Conference PLD member dinner and awards
ceremony on April 20, 2017 from 6–9 p.m. The theme of the 2017 OLA
Conference is "Thriving Together" and should be reflected in
presentation proposals.

The theme celebrates the incorporation of the Oregon Association of
School Libraries Conference with the OLA Conference. The PLD board
appreciates cross-industry knowledge sharing and ideas that inspire
leadership as well as personal growth. Presenters may interpret the
theme "Thriving Together" however they choose. Presentations do not
necessarily need to directly relate to libraries. Ideas from industry
leaders outside the library community are welcome and encouraged.

Selection Process

• Presentation proposals will be reviewed by a PLD selection
committee, and six applicants will be asked to submit for final
selection from the pool of applicants.

• Selected applicants will be asked to send a brief 5–15 minute video
example of a presentation they’ve completed (either the one for
submission or another example). Selected applicants should upload their
video samples to YouTube or another resource and provide a link or URL
to the selection committee.

• Final selection of three speakers will be made by February 28, 2017 and all applicants will be notified at that time.

Benefits

Selected presenters will receive 2017 OLA Conference admission, free
dinner the evening of the presentations, and the opportunity to share a
transcript or video of their presentations with the Oregon library
community through the 2017 OLA Conference website.

For more information, see: goo.gl/BEVJRb

For application, see: goo.gl/hExo91
