After a bit of searching, I discovered the ACS is, in fact, a real thing put out by the Census Bureau. </span></div><div id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1481323330166_6663" dir="ltr"><span><br></span></div><div dir="ltr"><span>The penalties are seldom enforced but serve as a useful motivator.</span></div><div id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1481323330166_6079" dir="ltr"><span><br></span></div><div id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1481323330166_6081" dir="ltr"><span id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1481323330166_6080">Persons who do not respond virtually then receive a paper questionnaire via snailmail.</span></div><div id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1481323330166_6185" dir="ltr"><span><br></span></div><div id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1481323330166_6337" dir="ltr"><span id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1481323330166_6349">Should that questionnaire get recycled, there is a knock on the door.</span></div><div id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1481323330166_6336" dir="ltr"><span><br></span></div><div id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1481323330166_6187" dir="ltr"><span id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1481323330166_6186">If the resident is not home for the "knock," the phone begins to ring. <div style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;">For the first time, the 5-year dataset includes comparison profile tables that allow users to easily identify statistically significant changes between two sets of non-overlapping releases (in this case: 2006-10 and
2011-15). This is the second set of American Community Survey data released this year. The first, in September produced
