<div>I am on a data collecting mission regarding your library's requirement for photo ID in order to check out items.</div>

<div>An example situation would be; a student comes to the circulation desk to check out an item but has lost their wallet- no ID at all. </div>

<div>Here is what I need;</div>

<div>1. Which library are you with and what is your library policy? Does the policy differ during different hours of operation?</div>

<div>2. Does your institution have or use another way to verify students' identity, such as a computer program with currently enrolled students, faculty, and staff? Or verify using personal information? How long have you been using this?</div>

<div>3. Do you accept anything other than hard copy ID, such as a photo of ID from a phone? Or photocopy?</div>

<div>4. When or under what circumstances do you make exceptions, if at all? Does a manager make this decision or is it a staff judgement call? </div>
