<p class="MsoNormal">The <a href="http://www.oregon.gov/osl/LD/Pages/LSTA/grants/apply/index.aspx">
2017 LSTA grant application process</a> is now open! Applications are now being accepted until
<b>April 5, 2017 by 1:00 p.m</b>. <o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">For those who have submitted grant proposals in the past, you will find a number of changes to the form. Majority of these changes is how the information is being requested.
<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">The State Library is once again offering the opportunity for you to receive comments on your preliminary proposals. This step is optional. If you wish to take advantage of this opportunity, please submit your proposals by end of business
on <b>Wednesday, February 15, 2017</b>, as a word document via email ONLY to Ferol Weyand at
<a href="mailto:ferol.weyand@state.or.us">ferol.weyand@state.or.us</a>. Between February 20<sup>th</sup> and March 3<sup>rd</sup>, members of the LSTA Advisory Council and the Library Support and Development staff will review the submitted proposals and offer
high-level feedback. The Council members and staff will not be proofreading or editing the proposal. The grant review opportunity is not a guarantee of a future high rating of the proposal nor will it be a chance to explain the proposal and have someone
else improve the writing. <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">By March 8, comments will be sent back to those who submitted a preliminary proposal.

<p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Final applications must be submitted to Ferol Weyand by <b>April 5, 2017 by 1:00 p.m</b>. in Microsoft Word of compatible format via email. The LSTA Advisory council will be meeting in mid-May to review the proposals and make funding
recommendations to the OSL Board, who will be meeting on June 9<sup>th</sup>. Grants will start on July 1<sup>st</sup> and end on June 30, 2018.<o:p></o:p></p>
