<html><head><meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html charset=utf-8"></head><body style="word-wrap: break-word; -webkit-nbsp-mode: space; -webkit-line-break: after-white-space;" class="">Hi Melody,<div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">There are a couple of “free” options available for a library catalog. Others can chime in, too. My general favorites are:</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">1) <a href="http://evergreen-ils.org" class="">Evergreen ILS</a></div><div class="">2) <a href="http://www.koha.org/" class="">Koha ILS</a> (mentioned by Diedre)</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">These will require a level of local support to get off the ground if you’re self-hosting. If you do not have a budget for that it could get more complicated. There are hosted/support options for those two also (Equinox / ByWater Solutions / LibLime) which can make the process smoother.</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">There are some other options I don’t have personal experience with that could be interesting to check out:</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">1) <a href="https://librarika.com/" class="">Libraika</a> — cloud hosted, free up to 2k titles, paid option with more functionality</div><div class="">2) <a href="https://www.libib.com" class="">Libib</a> — for circulation/patron management feature will likely have to upgrade to “pro” version</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">I’ve used LibraryThing'ss <a href="https://www.librarycat.org/" class="">TinyCat</a> for my home collection, but if the collection is small enough it could be an option? Paid options as you go bigger as well.</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">Are you going to need to migrate your patron/collection information to the new ILS (library catalog)? That might require contracting out for some support. Any reason you can’t keep your old catalog? Licensing/Contract?</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">Feel free to contact me off list if you need any more info and I’ll do what I can to help or point you in the right direction!</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class=""><div class="">
