<div dir="ltr">Hi everyone,<div><br></div><div>As you may have heard, the White House budget that was released today would completely defund IMLS. Don't think this only has effects in Washington or on libraries that win competitive IMLS grants -- IMLS gives millions of dollars directly to individual states, and in Oregon, that amounted to $2.2 million in 2016, which funded Spanish storytimes, OBOB, OSLIS, access to government information, tech-based staff development, <a href="https://www.imls.gov/grants/grants-state/state-profiles/oregon">and so much more</a>. IMLS funding also goes to the State Library, tribal libraries, OMSI, the Portland Children's Museum, the Museum of the Oregon Territory, the High Desert Museum, and -- again -- so much more.</div><div><br></div><div>There's information in the email below on steps you can take to help save IMLS -- and all the library services and programs in Oregon that it funds.
