<p><span style="font-family:calibri,sans-serif;color:black">One of the great
things PNLA does as an organization is help create opportunities to build
leadership skills for librarians in the Pacific Northwest. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-family:calibri,sans-serif;color:black">If you are
interested in building your own leadership skills, the 2017 PNLA Leadership
Institute (PNLA LEADS) is now accepting applications. This is a 5
day intensive retreat that helps librarians discover and to build their
leadership skills. The institute will be held Sunday October 22nd
(noon) through Friday October 27th in Port Townsend, WA. Applications are

<p><span style="font-family:calibri,sans-serif;color:black">Another good
opportunity to build your library leadership skills is by serving on the
PNLA Board. This is a great way to learn new skills, follow your library
passions, and become involved. We are currently accepting nominations for
