The Oregon State University Sesquicentennial Oral History Project is the largest oral history initiative ever undertaken at OSU. Spanning more than four years, the project has captured the stories of over 100 OSU alumni from every decade since the 1930s; more
than 100 faculty members representing each of OSU’s eleven colleges; some twenty OSU staff members; and another dozen current students. Project staff have collected more than 330 hours of interview content, and the dedicated web portal created to present “OH
150” contains more than 3.1 million words of transcription.</span><span style="color:black"><o:p></o:p></span></p>

that arose as a result, the presentation will touch upon the tools that project staff used to create the collection’s unique web portal, which features access to video and audio files, contextual information, transcripts presented in two different formats,
and the ability to sort interviews based on affiliation or topic.</span><span style="color:black"><o:p></o:p></span></p>

<b><i><span style="font-size:10.5pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif;color:#333333"> About the Presenter:</span></i></b><span style="font-size:10.5pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif;color:#333333"> Chris Petersen has worked for the OSU Libraries since 1996,
and has been a member of the library faculty since 1999. For more than six years he has been actively engaged with the practice of oral history and, in that time, he has conducted over 250 hours of interviews with scientists, diplomats, and a great diversity
of people associated with Oregon State University. Since 2013 he has served as project director and lead oral historian for the OSU Sesquicentennial Oral History Project. He is also the editor and publisher of the Pauling Blog, which has been releasing original
research on the life and work of Linus Pauling nearly every week since its founding in March 2008.</span><span style="color:black"><o:p></o:p></span></p>
