<div dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr" style="margin:0pt 0px;outline:none 0px;padding:0px 0px 10px;line-height:1.2">The Network Zone Manager manages the Orbis Cascade Alliance's Alma Network Zone (NZ), the shared bibliographic database of the consortium's 39 member librariesin Oregon, Washington, and Idaho. The Network Zone enables collaborative work in multiple areas, including resource management, discovery, and resource sharing. The Network Zone requires ongoing management and attention to ensure accurate information, database integrity, and ongoing development in order to support staff workflows in all functional areas.<br><br>The NZ Manager works closely with the technical services member community, other member library staff, and with Alliance central staff, and supports the Shared Content and Technical Services (SCTS) Program Manager to improve the collective efficiency of technical services operations within Alliance libraries. Specifically, this position is responsible for:<br></p><ul><li>Working with member library staff to develop and implement the best management approach for loading and sharing sets of bibliographic records and coordinating workflows.</li><li>Managing database maintenance projects in the NZ.</li><li>Monitoring existing, new, and proposed NZ functionality to support the larger goal of increased collaborative work, including engaging the technical services community about needed functionality, and advocating with vendors for improvements and issue resolution.</li><li>Working with the SCTS Program Manager and member library stakeholders to determine priorities for collaborative projects across technical services and e-resources.</li></ul><p></p><p style="margin:0pt 0px;outline:none 0px;padding:0px 0px 10px;line-height:1.2">For a complete job description, see: <a href="https://www.orbiscascade.org/network-zone-manager-1/">https://www.orbiscascade.org/network-zone-manager-1/</a></p><p dir="ltr" style="margin:0pt 0px;outline:none 0px;padding:0px 0px 10px;line-height:1.2"><br></p><p dir="ltr" style="margin:0pt 0px;outline:none 0px;padding:0px 0px 10px;line-height:1.2">-----------------</p><div><div class="gmail_signature"><div dir="ltr"><div><div><div><font size="2">Abigail Bibee<br></font></div><font size="2">Cataloging and Metadata Librarian<br></font></div><font size="2">Reed College Library</font></div><font size="2">(503) 777-7558 </font><br></div></div></div>
