<a href="https://www.lib.umn.edu/copyright/fairthoughts">fair use</a> to decide if you can legally convert and upload the DVD contents without explicit permission from the copyright holder.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">For my own situation, we will likely try seeking permission from the copyright holder. If we do not get permission, or if it is expensive or if the response is delayed, we will make an appeal to our administrator to purchase access from
Kanopy, which is relatively costly. Our college is not currently in line with TEACH Act requirements and, after reading a few sources on using videos in online classes, I’m uneasy about claiming fair use.<o:p></o:p></p>
