<p class="MsoNormal">Recently, Office of Child Care began partnering with Multnomah County Library’s
<i>Every Child Initiative</i> to start bringing free books out on visits to Regulated Subsidy home child cares. Children qualify for this type of child care because their families fall below a certain income bracket that qualifies them for subsidized child
care costs. Workers at Office of Child Care noticed that these homes frequently have very few books for children. We are thrilled to be partnering with Every Child to bring out a few books per visit to the children we serve! It is not only a great way to promote
literacy in underserved populations, but also a nice opportunity to plug other resources and events offered by local libraries.
