<p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Several of you have questions about library workers and COVID-19 vaccines. Most library and retail workers are not mentioned in Oregon’s
<a href="https://www.oregon.gov/oha/covid19/Documents/COVID-19-Vaccination-Plan-Oregon.pdf">
draft vaccination plan</a> or other current documentation on vaccine distribution. However, the situation is changing rapidly, and the State Library is trying to track it to see how libraries are affected.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">The state currently is in Phase 1B of distribution. The Oregon Health Authority has created an
<a href="https://sharedsystems.dhsoha.state.or.us/DHSForms/Served/le3527A.pdf">infographic</a> detailing what groups are in Phases 1A and B and the timelines. Generally speaking, these phases include healthcare workers, long-term care facility staff & residents,
 caregivers, K-12 and early childhood educators and workers, and people ages 65 and older. K-12 school library staff are included on the
<a href="https://sharedsystems.dhsoha.state.or.us/DHSForms/Served/le3566.pdf">list of educators</a> currently eligible to receive vaccines as of this week.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Subsequent priority groups for vaccination will be determined in coordination with Oregon’s
<a href="https://www.oregon.gov/oha/PH/PREVENTIONWELLNESS/VACCINESIMMUNIZATION/IMMUNIZATIONPARTNERSHIPS/Pages/COVID-19-Vaccine-Advisory-Committee.aspx">
COVID-19 Vaccine Advisory Committee</a>, which includes individuals representing a large cross-section of people and expertise from around the state. If you have thoughts on vaccine prioritization, you can
<a href="https://www.oregon.gov/oha/PH/PREVENTIONWELLNESS/VACCINESIMMUNIZATION/IMMUNIZATIONPARTNERSHIPS/Pages/COVID-19-Vaccine-Advisory-Committee.aspx#comments">
submit comments</a> to the Committee for consideration.<o:p></o:p></p>
