<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">The State Library of Oregon are pleased to announce we are offering the following free online training from Basic Rights Oregon:
<b>Transgender Inclusion and Affirmation in the Workplace</b> for a second time. This was an extremely popular session when offered last June and isn’t likely to be offered again through the State Library in the foreseeable future.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">This LGBTQIA2S+ Inclusion training from Basic Rights Oregon will support attendees as they begin their work toward creating a more affirming workplace for all LGBTQIA2S+ coworkers, clients, and
more specifically the transgender community. The two goals for this training are to improve LGBTQIA2S+ people’s experiences among their organization or community and to educate people on how to create a safer and more affirming place for all. This training
will focus on developing the language and understanding attendees may need to engage with LGBTQIA2S+ people in a validating and inclusive way.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:10.5pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif;color:#333333;background:white">This training will take place from <strong><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">9:00 am to 12:30 pm on Thursday, September 15 via Zoom</span></strong>.
Space is limited to 50 participants and <strong><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">all attendees are expected to be present for the full 3 ½ hours</span></strong>. If you are unable or not willing to agree to this, please be kind and leave a seat
