<p class="MsoNormal">Libraries in Oregon and across the country have seen an increase in book challenges, and calls for censorship show no signs of slowing any time soon. While academic libraries are not spotlighted in these debates, we are definitely not above
the fray. <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"> <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">In recognition of these threats, and in solidarity with public and K-12 librarians who experience book challenges more frequently, the ACRL-OR Board wanted to strengthen our commitment to Academic Freedom and Intellectual Freedom and compile
resources for our members.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">The Board created and approved an Academic & Intellectual Freedom Toolkit in summer 2022 with a revised Intellectual Freedom statement and helpful links to proactively protect Academic and Intellectual Freedom. The toolkit is available
