<p class="Default"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">In July of 2021, the Lane County Law Library (LCLL) and their partner, the Springfield Eugene Tenant Association (SETA) were awarded a grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services through
the Library Services and Technology Act, administered by the State Library of Oregon.<i><o:p></o:p></i></span></p>
<p class="Default"><i><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif"><o:p> </o:p></span></i></p>
<p class="Default"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">The grant funded the project titled “Educating and Empowering Lane County Renters: Creating and Disseminating Legal Information Resources for Tenants.”<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-autospace:none"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">As LCLL and SETA draw near the finish line, we wanted to highlight some of the progress with the Oregon library community!<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">With this project, LCLL and SETA have been producing an array of print and electronic legal information materials in English and Spanish related to current landlord/tenant law. We are happy to share
a </span><a href="https://drive.google.com/file/d/15aF3lZxwUrRePiQBPRsQOftQGDWeMy85/view?usp=share_link"><b><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">sample</span></b></a><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif"> of
one of the guides in English (translation is happening by </span><a href="https://www.facebook.com/grupolatinodeacciondirecta/about/?ref=page_internal"><b><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Grupo Latino de Acción Directa (GLAD) of
Lane County</span></b></a><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif"> as your read this!).<o:p></o:p></span></li><li class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left:0in;mso-add-space:auto;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo1;text-autospace:none">
<span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Another part of the project has been enhancing an existing digital information hub website with expanded content that will serve as a comprehensive and reliable public resource for tenants. While
the guides are not up yet, you can view the website </span><a href="https://www.springfieldeugenetenantassociation.com/"><b><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">here</span></b></a><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">
and direct tenants in need of help regarding landlord/tenant law to call SETA’s Hotline at (541) 972-3715. While SETA’s priority is Lane County tenants, they do try to help those that contact them from outside of Lane County.<o:p></o:p></span></li><li class="MsoListParagraphCxSpLast" style="margin-left:0in;mso-add-space:auto;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo1">

now features a Remote Access Technology Station! Located in the small, private meeting room, the station includes a computer with a webcam, headset and printer, providing patrons who have limited technology or stable internet with a place to conduct court
business or meet virtually with an attorney.<o:p></o:p></span></li></ul>
