<p class="MsoNormal">Summer reading season is here! As we enter this hectic and wonderful time, I wanted to encourage you to take this opportunity to invite library funders to your upcoming events that showcase the value and impact your library has in your
community. It’s also a great time to get pictures! You could include those in a summer reading follow-up that highlights major outputs and outcomes, including feedback from participants.

<p class="MsoNormal">This kind of relationship building with funders – be they county commissioners, city managers, mayors, or elected officials – can significantly contribute to the sustainability and growth of your library’s initiatives in the future. By
inviting them to attend or participate in your summer reading events and by sending a follow-up, you can grow their understanding of your programs and demonstrate the positive influence their support of the library has on the community.
