<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-autospace:none"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;color:black">The Friends of the Salem Library is a 501(c)3 charitable organization that supports<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-autospace:none"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;color:black">the Salem Public Library (SPL) by providing funds to enhance Library projects,<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-autospace:none"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;color:black">programs, services, and collections. The Friends raise money by selling books and<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-autospace:none"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;color:black">other donations received from the public as well as withdrawals from SPL.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-autospace:none"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;color:black">The Bookstore Manager is responsible for the overall operation of the Friends<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-autospace:none"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;color:black">Bookstore, including the stocking of the store and the supervision of the<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-autospace:none"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;color:black">volunteers who support the Bookstore operation. Candidates must have<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-autospace:none"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;color:black">experience in retail and supervision, and be able to lift boxes of up to 50lbs. The<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-autospace:none"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;color:black">successful candidate will love books and be curious about a wide variety of book<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-autospace:none"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;color:black">types and topics.The position requires 30-35 hours per week and pays $14-$15 per<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-autospace:none"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;color:black">hour. A background check will be required of the successful applicant.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
