<p class="MsoNormal">Earlier this year the Oregon Legislature created the <a href="https://www.oregon.gov/dor/programs/individuals/pages/credits.aspx">
Oregon Kids Tax Credit</a>, a refundable tax credit to help low-income families with small children make ends meet. Families may be eligible for a tax credit worth $1,000 per child, for up to five children age five and below. Even people who don’t owe any tax
can claim these credits if they file a return. It is a great opportunity to get some much-needed extra cash to the families struggling most to get by. <o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="mso-ligatures:none">The Oregon Department of Revenue has created flyers, social media posts, and short Instagram/Facebook videos to help get the word out about this and other tax credits.

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="mso-ligatures:none">Materials are available in: English, Spanish, Russian, Vietnamese, Chinese, Simplified Chinese, Arabic, French, Burmese, and Marshallese.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="mso-ligatures:none">Every library with a mailing address in the
<a href="https://data.oregon.gov/dataset/Oregon-Library-Directory/6x9d-idz4/about_data">
Oregon Library Directory</a> will receive 20 printed copies of the attached flyers in English and Spanish in January 2024.
