<p>There is still time to register for the <a href="https://openoregon.org/events/event/2025-oregon-virtual-statewide-oer-symposium/" target="_blank">2025 Oregon Virtual Statewide OER Symposium</a>, taking place online on Friday, May 2, 2025. Part-time faculty and staff at Oregon’s public community colleges and universities are eligible for stipends for attendance and supplemental childcare.</p>
<p>Please read on for additional paid opportunities with Open Oregon Educational Resources!</p>
<p>1. The <a href="https://openoregon.org/events/event/2025-oer-grants/">call for OER grant proposals</a> is open through June 20. If you submit a proposal, please check your email over the summer to answer followup questions and to find out whether you're receiving funding for the 2025-27 biennium. (Bring your questions to the <a href="https://openoregon.org/events/event/grant-proposal-qa-3/">Grant Proposal Q&A</a> on May 15, 12-1.)</p>
<p>2. The <a href="https://openoregon.org/events/event/mini-grants/" target="_blank">call for OER <em>mini-grant</em> proposals</a> is open through May 9. Receive $300 for very small open education projects that will take approximately 6 hours of work to complete before June 30, 2025.</p>
<p>3. Register for the <a href="https://openoregon.org/events/event/equity-and-open-education-faculty-cohort-registration-for-summer-2025/">Equity and Open Education Faculty Cohort</a> by June 13. Participants will earn a $200 stipend upon completion of “Part 1- Explore” (July 7-August 8) and will have the option to earn an additional $300 stipend in “Part 2- Implement” (August 11-Sept 5). </p>
<p>4. Register for a <a href="https://openoregon.org/summer-2025-virtual-oer-review-workshops/"> Virtual OER Review Workshop</a> taking place on one of three dates: August 5, 1pm–2pm; August 6, 5pm–6pm; or August 7th, 12pm–1pm. After the workshop, you’ll receive a $200-$300 stipend for writing a review of an open educational resource.</p>
<p>5. Oregon community college and university instructors <em>who teach courses for preservice teachers</em> are invited to register for a <a href="https://openoregon.org/events/event/virtual-summer-convening-2/" target="_blank">Virtual Summer Convening</a> on September 8, 2025. Participants will receive a $400 stipend (and a $100 childcare stipend if applicable). A $750 grant is also available for preservice faculty to <a href="https://forms.gle/xnKhQ6z8RcPB45JN6" target="_blank">redesign and pilot your course</a> by June 30, 2026, using open educational resources with an equity lens.</p>
<p>6. Sign up by October 14, 2025, for Open Oregon Educational Resources to <a href="https://openoregon.org/events/event/sponsored-registration-for-2025-open-ed-conference/" target="_blank">sponsor your registration</a> for virtual attendance at the <a href="https://openeducationconference.org/" target="_blank">Open Education Conference</a>, October 28-30, 2025. </p>

<li><a href="https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfSSkT0GDVUoAezxzHgQDWy2GI9rsLf2iyDx7bcgn0SnStAYw/viewform" target="_blank">RSVP for the Student Basic Needs Lobby Day</a> on May 8, 8:30am-5pm, to meet with legislators in Salem. Funding is available to cover travel, housing, and food costs for this event.</li>
<li>Bring a sign to the Oregon State Capitol for the Hands Off: Higher Education Rally on May 8, 4-5pm (meet at Court & Summer St NE).</li>
