Library. I interact with a variety of systems both proprietary and open-source, including the ILS, operating systems and backend databases. I also answer a variety of tech questions on our consortium's support ticket system related to library technology for

<p class="MsoPlainText"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Cambria","serif"">My first volunteer experience in a library was as a "Techno Host" at the Multnomah County Library, and it was there that I began to see the value of technology in the library
for our patrons. During graduate school, some of my favorite projects were creating online study guides and contributing to a more robust online presence at the libraries I worked for (Brooklyn Public Library, and the Pratt Institute Library). After graduating
in 2009, I began volunteering for L-Net, doing chat reference, and I currently sit on their advisory board. As the librarian at Everest College, I have tried to get creative with technology to meet our students' educational needs. Evolving library technology
unlocks library resources for a new kind of patron in a new environment, and it's very exciting to learn about and participate in this evolution.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
