The Legislative Committee has been discussing the increasingly common habit of agencies having people access sensitive government services on public library computers, social security and health insurance being two examples. Many public libraries have concerns
with this, including the effect on staff time and the security concerns. We were wondering if the LibTech RT might please be willing to discuss this topic and maybe make a statement about why public networks like those at public libraries aren't ideally suited
for transmitting potentially sensitive financial and other information.<br>
