[lstac] A Question about Privacy Pods & Booths

Hi,
In Arizona, we used ARPA funds to purchase PODs for 10 libraries, and we expect to receive more requests for them in future subgrant projects related to telehealth. The libraries were responsible for the assembly and installation, which turned out to be more challenging than anticipated and led to delays. The feedback we received was that libraries should work closely with their facilities departments to coordinate the delivery, assembly, and installation.
However, once they were set up, the patrons and staff really like the PODs and they are well used.
The two vendors used were ThinkTank and SnapCab.
The SnapCab POD is ADA accessible.

Subject: Re: [lstac] A Question about Privacy Pods & Booths
Hi All--
We have issued several subgrants for public library systems to purchase pods for libraries. Judging by the final reports, all of the pods have been successful and popular, esp. in rural libraries that lack private meeting rooms. I went back and looked at our grants over the past few years and the brand names I saw included:
* PoppinPod
* Cubicall
* Steelcase
Thank you,
Mary

Good afternoon, colleagues!
CA is interested in hearing from anyone who might have purchased Privacy Pods or Booths for library spaces. We are eager to learn which vendor(s) were used. And we would love to hear your insight on what worked and/or what didn’t work.
Thank you,
