[lstac] Special Project Grants

Michigan holds about 400K for grants of $5,000 to $25,000. We have a set application deadline and set grant contract period. Unless you are doing a quick grant to purchase something without expectations of programming or other outcome generating activities, I would not do a rolling grant. You'll end up explaining everything about the process over and over and those who apply towards the end of the funds will run out of time to do the programming.

Howdy brain trust!  KY is looking to do special project grants this next year.  We have a population of roughly  4.5 million.  If you are from a state that has a similar population and offers special project grants, I have some questions for you.


  *   What is the total grant amount that you award?
  *   What are the individual award amounts?
  *   Is it a rolling grant, where money is available until you run out?


Any guidance on how you administer these types of grants is appreciated!
