[lstac] Question for thoughts

Maybe I am overthinking this but here is our concern so please weigh in.

If/when you read all the Executive Orders listed in the request for information email, it covers a broad range of areas that you should NOT spend federal funds on going forward.  What about books?  We purchase a good bit of our collection development and provide subgrants to libraries for their collection development.  There is no way that we can be sure that the purchase of a book could not contain something relating to one of these EO's.  Also, with Hoopla, Overdrive, or other similar platforms, what if there is a book about one of these topics and a patron checks it out using federal funds?  This we cannot control as none of us have the staff to review/read every book - despite what some may think.

Is anyone else concerned about this?
