We're doing something similar in Oregon - listing our partners.

Subject: Re: [lstac] site visit checklist question

Maryland had a virtual site visit back in 2021 and we basically listed all of our community partners.

"Our agency works to partner and
support strategic alliances of
several state agencies through
the provision of technical support,
staff time and promotional
outreach. This list includes:
● MD Attorney General’s Access to Justice Task Force
● Governor’s Complete Count (Census) Committee
● Department of Planning
● Governor’s Grants Office
● Department of Labor (prison libraries)
● Veterans Affairs
● Department of Education, Workforce Development"

Good afternoon,

I am working my way through the site visit checklist and I'm curious how others have answered this question:

How is the SLAA working with other State agencies (where appropriate) to coordinate resources, programs, and activities, and leverage, but not replace, the Federal and State investment in the Elementary and Secondary Education Act, Head Start Act, Workforce Investment Act, and other Federal programs and activities that relate to library services, including economic and community development and health information?

While I know it will look different for each state, I'm at a loss about how to approach this and would appreciate seeing other responses or thoughts. Our last site visit checklist also had this question but what we wrote didn't actually answer the question.

Thank you!
