Hello,
I'm relatively new here at the Utah State Library and am wondering about
the latest LSTA guidelines on travel for library conferences for
subgrantees. It seems we've always used state funds to award travel and
training, vs LSTA. We're very much in the exploration stage at this point,
and would appreciate experience and input. Could anyone please provide some
details and a link or two?
Specifically, the concept is for a grant in which funds would be for Utah
tribal librarians/representatives (and possibly a state library
representative) to attend an out of state conference, which we would likely
tie to a portion of the LSTA grant being for tribal library enhancement
related to the conference. For example (completely made up numbers): $3,000
library enhancement project award plus associated travel to a conference of
up to $2,000 for a total of $5,000 award...
Thanks in advance,
Melanie
