Hi Kim,

Here in TN, we do have staff that are paid 100% through LSTA, based on what they do and how they fit into our 5-year plan.  We also use LSTA funds for benefits for those staff as well.

All,

A couple of questions have arisen about how LSTA covers staff wages, etc.  We lost our resident expert unexpectedly, and I couldn't find any written guidance that covers more detailed information. If you know of something that covers the nitty gritty of the LSTA grant, I would love to learn it!

1. Are you supposed to use LSTA to pay 100% of staff salary for approved project work, or is the state supposed to pitch in?
2. Is LSTA money used for benefits?
