[lstac] Explain it to me like I'm 5

So to clarify (since apparently I'm only 4), because the grant covers a two year cycle (10/1/2025 - 9/30/2027), the FY2026 grant funding guarantees us the ability to draw down funds for our projects up to September 30, 2027?

Thanks!

Kim

Thanks Mary,

This is what I was thinking was the case, that the funding would carry us through to complete projects and work to September 30, 2027. If that’s the case, that is indeed a big WOO HOO!

Hi Jeff--

IMLS is funded through Federal Fiscal Year 26 which goes until September 2027. Woo hoo!

I understand that IMLS is now funded/not shutdown thanks to H.R. 7148 https://www.congress.gov/bill/119th-congress/house-bill/7148/text Is that right?

If so, how long are we funded for exactly?

Does this appropriations act guarantee (as much as it can given the current climate) our funding only to the remainder of the current federal fiscal year (to Sept 1, 2026) or will this act carry us through the federal fiscal year that ends on September 1, 2027?

Thanks,

Jeff
