Happy New Year everyone!

Last week before Juneau experienced snowmagedon, I emailed Cindy asking about the Native American Services grants.  She forwarded my email to Sarah Fuller in the programming office who told me the plan for the Native American Enhancements, Hawaiians, and Basic programs is to send Notice of Funding Opportunities in February with the grant deadline being in April.  Of course this is all dependent on if there is a budget, but I'm glad to have some idea of a timeline for my libraries.

Hi Kate--

The IMLS budget for FFY27 hasn't passed yet. At the end of January we will know more because the government needs to pass and approve a full budget OR shutdown again. IMLS is operating under a continuing resolution. Teri sent out an email a couple of weeks ago that talked about that-- she had speculated that if funds are approved announcements will go out at the end of March 2026.

I'm pretty sure I can guess the answer to this, but does anyone have information on if FY27 IMLS grants will be opened?  I have some libraries who apply for the Native American Library Services grants each year and they can't find any information.
