[lstac] WCAG 2.2

Hi Terry--

This is what I am working on with our website. One thing our state IT
department recommended is to create an Archive page for older documents
with verbiage at the top about how we will remediate on request.
https://msla.maryland.gov/Pages/Press-Release-Archive.aspx

In this way, we are not pressured to remediate 100s of docs all at once. We
are a new and small state agency so luckily we have not even had a decade
to hoard digital docs on our website. For that, I am grateful. I am relying
on Adobe Acrobat Pro for much of the pdf remediation.

I am also trying to create a new way of talking about librarianship that
may be more accessible. We have way too much library lingo that is lost on
a broader audience. I am thinking about alternative phrases for Staff
Development, Library System, Circulation, etc. I hope the idea of plain
language makes us better at telling our library stories but it definitely
takes some work.

One doc at a time! Or something like that.

Cheers,

Mary
