<a href="https://mblc.state.ma.us/programs-and-support/lsta/grant-opportunities/mini-preservation-assessment.php">
Preservation Assessment</a>. We give libraries a set amount of funding and they can hire a qualified assessor from a list we have. The entire funding amount must go to that assessor. The libraries receive a report that identifies preservation priorities. We
outline the minimum expectations of what must be included in the report.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Franklin Gothic Book",sans-serif">Libraries have found the process immensely helpful, usually because they don’t have an archival background, and this gives them very clear guidance. It also has
the added benefit of being available for future staff when the inevitable turnover happens.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
