<p class="MsoNormal">The Arkansas Digital Library Consortium (ADLC) is an open consortium formed to facilitate the acquisition and use of digital content by pooling the buying power of Arkansas public libraries. ADLC currently contracts with OverDrive to provide
eBooks and audio books to the patrons of member libraries.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">The program is administered by the Arkansas State Library and is open to all public libraries within the state. Membership in the eBook consortium requires committing to a multi-year contract with the content vendor OverDrive. Libraries
must sign an additional Memorandum of Understanding agreeing to follow ADLC policies and granting permission for annual content fees to be applied by OverDrive to a central selection committee.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">The State Library usually contributes around $15,000 towards content annually using federal funds. The Arkansas State Library is not a member of ADLC.<o:p></o:p></p>
