Crime Victims' Compensation for
Child Abuse Intervention Centers Training
Intended participants: Victim advocates working in child abuse assessment centers and child advocacy centers
Introduction to Oregon's Crime Victims' Compensation Program Training: Learn more about Oregon's Crime Victims' Compensation Program (CVCP). The CVCP works to ease the financial burden suffered by hundreds of Oregonians each year as a result of violent person crimes. This training includes information about program eligibility and benefits, the application process and how payments are handled. Participants will be introduced to the CVCP Client Portal with instructions on how to register, submit an application and upload documents.

SVAA Survey
Please take a moment to complete the short survey (link below) being conducted by the National Crime Victim Law Institute regarding content of the State Victim Assistance Academy advanced topics for advocates. You need not have attended SVAA to provide input. Please participate to make sure the needs of child abuse intervention professionals are considered in future planning. NCVLI is soliciting input from the field as we begin to organize the SVAA Advanced Academy trainings. The SVAA Advanced Academy is a training that provides the opportunity to take a closer look at a single topic, which is selected based on feedback from advocates and other practitioners statewide. Past Advanced Academy topics have included: Privacy Summit (2018), Restitution Summit (2017), Mass Casualty Incidents and the Role of the Advocate (2015), Serving Survivors of Homicide (2013), and Advanced Communications: Confidentiality and Crisis Response (2012).
