Learn about the importance of the Model Standards.
The Model Standards for Serving Victims and Survivors of Crime training was recently updated to reflect emerging challenges faced by the victim services field. The Model Standards e-publication<https://www.ovc.gov/model-standards/index.html> provides guidelines and suggestions to help victim service practitioners and program administrators improve the quality and consistency of their response to crime victims.
Explore your organization's capabilities to implement the Model Standards and develop a plan to integrate the Model Standards into your program's policies, procedures, and activities. The training is intended for victim service program managers.
The training will be delivered online, over the course of 4 weeks, beginning on September 16, 2019. Learn more<https://www.ovcttac.gov/views/TrainingMaterials/NVAA/EMS/dspImpModelStd_PrimerVSPMgr.cfm> about this training.
Each weekly webinar session lasts 75 minutes. You should expect to dedicate at least one additional hour each week to complete assignments .
Like all of OVC TTAC's trainings, there is no cost to attend. Please review your schedule to make sure you are available to attend the webinars and will be able to make the necessary time commitment to complete the training activities.
