From the National Child Traumatic Stress Network (NCTSN), Supporting children and teens during this holiday season<https://www.nctsn.org/resources/supporting-children-and-teens-during-this-holiday-season>. “This resource offers caregivers strategies for supporting children and teens who have experienced a trauma or loss during the holiday season. It provides suggestions to help caregivers acknowledge difficult emotions but also create moments of joy, hope, and connection. Strategies include finding ways to stay connected to loved ones that you are separated from, honoring those that have died, creating new holiday traditions, and offering support to others in need. This resource also discusses ways for caregivers to take care of themselves and find small moments as a family to come together and support one another.
