<span lang="EN" style="font-size:14.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif";mso-fareast-language:EN-US">Tania Abramson, a survivor of childhood sexual abuse, is on an international lecture tour speaking out on behalf of victims by bringing attention to the
life-long effects of child sexual abuse. Ms. Abramson’s art explores issues of shame and self-worth as she extracts meaning from the events in her life. From self-portraits to conceptual projects utilizing commonplace items (e.g. sledgehammers and vintage
telephones), to repetitive portrayals of the Abyss, her work depicts how severe trauma informed her worldview.

<span style="font-size:14.0pt;color:#333333">The Victim Rights Law Center (<span style="border:none windowtext 1.0pt;padding:0in">VRLC</span>) is a nonprofit law center that provides free, holistic legal services to adult and minor sexual assault survivors
in Clackamas, Multnomah, and Washington counties, Oregon; to transgender survivors statewide; and to sexual assault victims throughout Massachusetts. The <span style="border:none windowtext 1.0pt;padding:0in">VRLC</span> also provides national training, mentorship,
tools, research, and resources for lawyers, advocates, and other professionals on the legal needs of rape and sexual assault victims. The full-time <span style="border:none windowtext 1.0pt;padding:0in">VOCA-funded</span> staff attorney is a Portland, OR,
based position. The attorney will be responsible for providing legal assistance to adult and minor sexual assault survivors; helping to recruit, train, and mentor lawyers and law students; and collaborate effectively with grant and community partners.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

This 3-year, VOCA-funded position will join VRLC’s legal services team, and be responsible for providing direct representation to minor and adult sexual assault survivors in the tri-county area. In addition, the lawyer will launch a statewide project both
representing and providing assistance to <i>pro se </i>transgender survivors statewide who need help with gender marker document changes, for safety or privacy-related reasons. (This component of the project also involves recruiting, training and mentoring
law students and pro bono lawyers who will help us service trans survivors statewide.)<o:p></o:p></span></p>
